In less than 24 hours I will be presenting at the New Jersey Society of Public Healthcare Educators conference on the very broad subject of Social Media Plans. Five years ago this could have easily been a 1.5 hour presentation. Tomorrow, I will try to cram in 95 slides of content and hope that I have enough time to cover all the essential tools everyone should be aware of when it comes to social media engagement.
Recently, I was eating lunch with my colleague Phoebe Ezell and we were talking about how social media has turned into the real life version of the comic book super powers for 2015! We really do have an enormous amount of messaging and imaging power right at our fingertips, and it is very democratized. Starting with the concept of a platform being able to recognize and tag real life people from photos we post on Facebook to the cross pollination of grouping that hashtags now provide with all social media platforms.
This is a new presentation for me and I can’t wait to gauge the level of interest and excitement from the healthcare audience. I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out tomorrow…I hope you all weigh in as well!
